Day 2 of Chanukah: Another Gift

Bellskis
Happy Saturday, Shabbat, Chanukah! There were 6 individual flakes of snow in the air on my way to my coffee stand this morning, which means it could turn very snowy here soon. But I'm nicely tucked inside, reading and drinking coffee.

And since I'm offering a small gift every day leading to the release of my new Chanukah novel Carol of the Bellskis, I thought I'd offer the kind of gift NO ONE WANTS. Yes. This is the internet-equivalent of Christmas fruitcake, or a sweater-vest.

It's a map! A map of Parmas City, the fantastical setting of the novellas written by Nicole Kimberling, Ginn Hale, and myself in our Hell Cop series! Oh joy! I bet you've always wanted to know where Ben Moran lives in comparison to Jay Yervant. I've bet you've sat back and said to yourself, "self, why oh why can't I visualize whether or not these characters are walking north to the gay district or east to the beach?" Well, worry no more. This sketchy and unprofessional-looking map will clarify your vision of Parmas City like butter hardened on a pair of goggles.

A Map of Parmas City.

Enjoy!

And Happy Holidays! Bring on the snow!

One of these statements is true.

Hell Cop
Can you guess which one?
  1. Sponges triple in growth after death!
  2. Cats like the taste of rubber!
  3. Astrid Amara will be teaming up with authors Ginn Hale ([info]ginnhale ) and Nicole Kimberling ( [info]kimnik ) to write a sequel to Hell Cop!
  4. Testicles have a magnetic charge and can be used as a compass!
  5. If you mix oranges with underwear you get a fascinating piece of art!
Okay two of these may be true, depending on your definition of "art."

First person to guess the correct answer wins! Hurray!

Blurb:

Welcome to Parmas City, where demons and sorcerers live among ordinary people and a few tough Hell Cops protect them all. Jay, Argent, and Ben are three of them, and they've just met the men of their hottest dreams.

Next of Kin by Astrid Amara
Jay Yervant is a Hell Cop so powerful that his bare skin incinerates anyone he contacts. Isolated, he is tortured by desire, until he meets Brian, a sensual young man who touches him with impunity. But Jay's burgeoning hope is threatened when a malevolent sorcerer unleashes a host of demonic assassins against Brian. Keeping his lover may cost Jay his life.

Red Sands by Nicole Kimberling
Anthropologist Michael Gold's got problems. His apartment's been ransacked, his dad's missing, and he's been framed for murder. As a half-demon he expects trouble from the city's Hell Cops. Instead, he gets Argent, a man with intimate knowledge of Michael and whom Michael can't penetrate with his psychic powers. So does Argent want to clear him or expose him?

Touching Sparks by Ginn Hale
When photojournalist James Sparks discovers an underworld of sorcery, blood sports and demonic drug traffic, he turns to Detective Ben Moran, a hard-bodied Hell Cop whose touch sends James's pulse racing. But when James uncovers evidence of police corruption he realizes that Moran may be in as much danger as he is.
